Fun Shots from Four Years

I should be blogging about where I’ve been camping the last few days: with friends in a favorite Airstream park in Tennessee; at a brewery in Alabaster, Alabama; at a UNESCO world heritage site in Louisiana. I haven’t felt like taking photos though, which shows you just how under-the-weather I am. But, also, how important photos are.

Here’s a blogging peace-offering: a stash of photos that haven’t made it into my previous compilation posts. I’m making them a set of their own. Fun Shots.

Banjo fording the mighty Mississippi (headwaters), Minnesota
Tracy performs at Graceland, Tennessee
Feeling groovy while boondocking near Las Vegas, Nevada
Twins spotted at La Jolla, California
Denali National Park official sled dogs ready to run, Alaska
Fav selfie in North Dakota
Gimli on Hecla Island, Manitoba
My own Gimli on his first birthday from the road, Wisconsin
Banjo hates life on Mars, Arizona
Sliding through a slot, California
My kind of hot springs, Arizona (I think)
Spelunking Craters of the Moon, Idaho

I’m not a great ukulele player, but I sure take a great selfie while playing against dramatic backdrops across the country

Here’s to me feeling better soon so I can get back out there and take pictures again.

  1. Oh, I hope you feel better soon. Those pictures are really fun to see! Isn’t it great to be able to see so many places and do so many things?! Wonderful.

  2. Sorry to hear you’re still feeling poorly. But you have a great batch of pictures to cheer you up. And I agree.. that Dakota selfie is beautiful.
    😊

      1. It’s really good. You should be using it every day. Hell, it’s – make up some photo cards and hand them out to strangers – good.

  3. Gotta admit, your ukulele selfies are on point! And I agree with River about the South Dakota shot (though I may be biased given my history there).

    1. After River left that comment, I looked at that photo again and realized it’s North Dakota—Theodore Roosevelt National Park, to be exact. Whoops! Didn’t mean to false advertise with your home state!
